Could anyone recommend a good quality pole for permanent use as a homebase pole for use with a 11m Thunderbolt antenna?
I dont know much about fiberglass poles but I obviously dont want it slipping free and retracting!
I was thinking an 8m pole as the neighbours can be picky.
Many thanks from Rob.
PS this pole is local to me for pickup

Re: homebase fiberglass pole?
Spotted this last night whilst browsing.

Longer and a bit more expensive but the option is there to go higher and maybe stronger if you don't.
I don't think there's any regs for temporary type antenna structures like these, but may be corrected.

Spiderbeams seem to be in short supply.
I think I’m going to order a DX Commander 10m with some of those ezyclamps.
Regards Bob.

Just buy fiberglass fishing rod, no carbon fiber.
26ft and use only thickest part. Forget the top.

Re: homebase fiberglass pole?
Decathalon do various lengths of carp poles. Up to 7m. 5 mins with some epoxy and it's a permanent job. And the prices are good. €26 for the 7m. 16 for the 4m version.
That said the last section might be a bit thin.
But a cheap experiment.
