EFHW Wideband width

Post by Buick Mackane »

Recently over hauled my 49:1 EFHW And for some inexplicable reason i have a super wide bandwidth on the higher bands from 25 - 30 Mhz that's 12 - 11 -10m

Approx 1.5 - VSWR All the way through

No idea why, The best my other 49:1 could manage was a 1.8 VSWR on 10m only,

Maybe down to the winding spaces on the unun

Either way i'm not complaining :)

Check your coax feeding it. could have gone lossy and thats why youre getting low swr readings.
maybe water has gotten into it?
