R2FX weather satellite receiver

Hi all

I got given from a silent key a serial port version of the R2FX VHF weather satellite receiver.

I have installed the now quite old software (I think it's WXsattoimg) as the newest version doesn't install.
The software is capable of tracking satellites with the updated Kepler elements and can control the radio channel via the serial port. Testing this connection mostly works. So far though I've only decoded noise!

Another option is to set the R2FX box to scan the channels by pressing and holding the channel button for over two seconds. When I do this nothing happens except it takes two presses of the same button to change channels again.

Have any of you had this receiver or know of any groups (such as Facebook groups) that may help?
