I had one back in the day on a little chrome mag base.picked one up 4' ish nice condition but no magnetic base. Looking I thought was same and fit sirio types but it doesn't.
So for those who know or remember what type was it ,any images so I can be mindful and look for a base.
Was their any adapters for the antenna so I may fit on to a so mag base even.
Thank you

Re: Avanti moonraker 241 mount type ??
I think it's the same as found on the Amstrad aerial, with a pin in the centre of the magnet instead of a hole. I adapted a mount from an old aerial that had the same awkward connector onto a modern magmount, sourced from ebay.
Here's some pic's, one of Sirio mag, one of an adapted chrome ridged mag I made (had sirio type originally) and the Amstrad "flat" chrome mag

Ah yes I can clearly see the difference ,I think I have a old Midland white magmount with which and a similar type fitting.
Will keep em peeled for a base now I'm clear in my head what they look like.
Strange type fitting ,wonder why few only used it in guessing anyway.
Picked up 5 antennas in a bundle ,couple still to identify .
Will try out up images when I can .
Cheers Dave

If I see any on ebay, I'll let you know. I can't recall which aerial I pinched the stud mount from to fit into the magnet, which is annoying me. I sold the compatible aerial separately on ebay.
You might find the grey-coloured AS antennas (Antenna Specialists) have that type of mount.

Re: Avanti moonraker 241 mount type ??
I've remembered which aerial I stole the mount off before selling it on
It was from "The Bandit", very similar to the Cherokee Dial-a-Match, but with the extended base shround which incorporated that unusual connector.
I've managed to find a picture of it on Google:
