Wiring up a Digital V/A meter

Post by Buick Mackane »

I have two of these meters, Both the same as the model pictured below. (DSN-VC288) A few years back i tried to hook one up to my server supply but could only manage to get a voltage reading, No current reading, Recently dug out my converted sever PSU and would like to have another go at getting these meters up & running,

They have a 10 amp built in shunt but i want to use my external shunt which is rated at 50 amps (I think) So does anybody know how these should be wired with an external shunt ?

Cheers lemmy i was just looking at that diagram. Problem is the actual power for the meter and the power i want to monitor are all from the same power supply, And that seems to be an issue with this particular meter.

Don't have one, I'll have a play around with it and see how it goes,
