Ahhh...the ongoing shed-shack, I get it.

It'll be nice for you to be able to tuck yourself away in peace and quiet and do a few bits and bobs to your stuff. Just don't let those soldering fumes do you a mischief though ;)

I fitted electrics in it now and finished insulating it so I just have to carpet it now which will be floor , walls and ceiling. The cool thing is 90% of my stuff is packed in boxes in the attic, under the stairs and in my other shed after we moved house about 8 months ago and I have forgotten what I got so when I unpack everything it will be like christmas :D

Just ensure it's flame-retardent carpet or you'll go up in an instant.

If you do though...bagsie all your radio gear! ;)

There's always a small risk there, whether it be from smoking, soldering irons, cigarette lighters and hot air guns when used for heat shrink tubing, as well as hot/on fire amplifiers and Babcock Mr.Whoosh power supplies lol ;)

Some textiles will go up in seconds, so see if there's any fire retardent options available. You used to be able to buy a spray that could be used as to make your old sofa more fire retardent in the 80's/90's, but IIRC from memory, back then they were a health risk and were carcinogenic.

Plasterboarding the insides insulates it quite well, cooling it in summer a little too, but it's great against fire penetration - the thicker the better.

Ahhh I just remembered that in work we have bottles of fire resistant spray that they spray on the curtains. I might grab some and spray the carpet with it.

Read the instructions as it may warn against crttsin things like fumes etc.

Squirt some on the hessian backing too if it's that type of carpet and not the thin, rubber-backed stuff ;)

Just take your time and do a patch now and again. Watch the fumes if using spray adhesive or evo-stick if solvent-based, so ensure that the door is propped open and maybe use a fan to blow the fumes away quicker.

I had to use up some annual leave myself before I lost it at the end of March, so I'm off for two weeks and have got our upvc fascia, soffits and guttering to do. I'm up in Birmingham for a few days visiting my father and sister before I do that though. It's nice weather for it :)

No I have not but I do have some mic wiring diagrams here for different mics for the Magpie. I did upload them on here somewhere.
