Out of the attic

Post by NightProwler »

I was up in my attic the other day and holy moly it's freezing up there so I thought I would pull my radio's out of storage and put them downstairs where it's not minus 1000 degrees. Anyway I plug the Cobra 148 in and it has drifted way off frequency and so has my SS360FM, Not a problem to chuck them on the counter and tune them back up but my little Stalker ST-9F-DX was still bang on and needs no tuning. Weird eh. Got to love a Stalker :D

Did you leave them to warm up to livingroom temperature for a day or two before trying them?

I can't get going when it's bloody cold and radios may be the same :)

I powered them up about an hour or so after I brought them down. They are still the same now, Stalker bang on and the 148 and 360 all over the shop :D

Least you know your loft is well insulated if it's like a walk in fridge.
