Simple just super glue all the inductor cores and pre-sets as was the case when UK FM CB radio servicing got an LCL Communicator in for repair,

Weld the screws to the cases 'til they're completely covered.

To be fair, would it be possible to make a communicators any worse by screwdrivering it?
