ICOM IC-F410 programming issue.

Have 2 ICOM IC-F410 uhf radios,have a home made max232 interface that talks to radio no:1 with no problems but just comes up with err on radio no2: wonder if anyone has any ideas how i can sort this,i know the radio was programmed with 446MHz some weeks ago by someone elso but a bit stumped to know how to get it to talk to the radio,nothing wrong with port settings as it talks to no1 fine..must be the radio?..
cheers.i need to reprogram it for 70cm use.

Has the no.2 radio had the Off-Hook scan mod done to the radio (NOT the mic)? If it has, it wont prog or read. You'll need to undo the mod to make it read/write. It's best to do the Off-Hook scan mod to the mic ONLY.

i finally got the radios done,had to mod the programmer i built so i thought i would post images for the origional and the one i modded..
