Stalker 9 FM addition

Hello peeps.
Is there an economical way to add fm to a Stalker 9 please? It’s stock as AM,USB,LSB at the mo.

FM455 FREQUENCY MOD-DEMOD. Adds very good quality FM transmission and reception to AM only CB rigs. Receive side connects to the last IF amplifier before the AM detector. The transmit side connects directly to the microphone input and provides processed audio to the varicap diode in the PLL circuit. PCB size 44x39x16mm.

You need to check the IF frequency on the older Stalker IX's as I believe they use 7.8Mhz single conversion for the IF, so the 455khz board won't work.
The perfect face for radio.

Yea wasn't sure the I.F of that model of stalker, But the spectrum board is the only commercially available one i know of.

Correct . So it won't work . I'm not sure there's many more popular Uniden models you can add it to . The Madison , 148 and 2000 GTL spring to mind . I still have my Spectrum one here ready to go in to my 2000 GTL . I'll get round to it some day ... :)

The first page Claude linked to has a 7.8Mhz FM board (at the bottom) but at 45 Euros (+VAT, P&P etc.) it'd be cheaper to get an FM set and an antenna switch.
The perfect face for radio.

Yeah . Think the postage is now around €14 , or something . So , all in with the VAT then you could probably use the money put down a deposit on a house :)
