Power supply identification needed
Hi Everyone, I have got this power supply as part of a job lot. Unfortunately some berk has scratched off the writing on the front, so I am unable to see what current rating it is.
I did try to search the model number and nothing truely believeable came up, although a couple suggested it might be 6-8Amps.
Can anyone confirm this? The physical size is less than my 3-5A although it is heavier.

There is no such thing as a Fidelity 1000 which is too good to scrap.

It was a bit dirty inside, I have managed to clean it out with Henry followed by some brake claener.

It has come up as good as new, with 10 mins cleaning. I will change the caps, we have loads at work and that is within my limited ability.Buick Mackane wrote: ↑09 Nov 2021, 20:47A bit dirty Looks like it was used to power the CW Set on the titanic

Re: Power supply identification needed
As Claude mentioned later, probably 5-7amp, purely due to the continuous AND surge wording.
I think I've just got one amongst the 3 power supplies I bought for a tenner a couple of weeks back.

Re: Power supply identification needed
Either way it is better than the 3-5 which I have now.
Thanks for the info.
I just put a plug on, and tested it. it powers up and hums but there is no output. I will need to do some fault finding.

It doesn't even sound like much of a tune to be honest, just a monotonous drone.
