The resistors are directly solderd to the antenna socket. So it makes me no wonder why it does behaves like that. It is a design fault or cost effective. Maybe both... 🥴

Mine's weren't. I had a pcb there. Regardless , the position of that switch shouldn't affect the RX. I might have another look at the images I have to see if I can see , or think of anything.

Here it is. In HI position the RX signal has to pass through the resistor. In LO position the resistor is bridged.

That's only on TX. The relay isn't energised on RX , so the resistors do nothing. Have a look at the diagram I posted. I think they're (131 and (135) the same.

In my old model the resistors are directly solderd to the input socket. Maybe a newer model is different?

Yeah. I'm now looking at the diagram on P1 that Claude posted. It looks different. On HI both resistors are bypassed on RX and TX . But they're switched in on LO on both TX and RX.Is your RX being affected on HI or LO ?

That's not the 131 Claude. It's the 135. You already posted the diagram for the 131 on page 1.

Hi does anyone know how many W the 180 Ohm resistor should be? I have a 131 where the hi/low funktion is removed.

According to the schematic posted earlier in the thread the 180 ohm resistor should be one watt

is it ok it is 2 or 3 w because i have a little trouble finding 68 and 180ohm metal film resistors.
