I am thinking about getting some radios and not sure what to go for (for use whilst fishing or camping)
I would ideally like -
Waterproof
USB or 12v chargeable
Reasonably cheap
I am considering the Baofeng UV-9R Plus, but not sue if it can be charged by USB or 12v.
Any other options to consider please?

I've got a Baofeng BFx3 plus which "works well in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes" I haven't tested that claim though.
You can get an adapter lead for 3 quid on Ebay from China so you can charge the battery from the cigarette lighter socket in your car.

You can't use Baofeng just like that.
PMR446 is your only option.

Re: Recommendations please
There are other options to only having PMR446. If you wanted something more private then there is the UK general license which is 75 pounds for 5 years you can use VHF and UHF on UK Gen frequencies or you can give ofcom a ring and tell them what you need and what your using your transceiver for then they may offer you more options for the appropriate license.
If your not bothered about interference free communications and don't want to bother with a license then go with PMR446. I'd recommend the UV9R. I've tested it and its water proof, the UV5R isn't.
