2 RADIOS RUNNING ON 1 ANTENNA IS THIS POSSABLE?

i have just put a discone antenna up on a 20ft pole i am wondering if i can run a ( UBC125XLT and UBC785XLT ) from one discone antenna ?.

You'll get some signal loss, but for RX that should be fine.

I ran 2 for a long time on a scanking discone never noticed any problems.

yes but you will suffer from interactions.
one scanner may steal more signal than the other..
you could use a simple satellite TV splitter to get equal to each radio,
or buy a VHF/UHF TV antenna booster with twin or more outputs and use that, you have a built in amplifier and proper splitting.

thats a great idea ,is that like a preamp and could you in theory use it on a cb radio ?

It's a pre-amp, but of course one way - transmitting into it would be a pretty bad move.

I use one of these to run multiple scanners on the same antenna:

Years ago I used to mod the filters on uhf tv distribution preamps to open them up for dual scanner use, it did work as Mark says.

Watch it - modern TV pre-amps tend to be band-limited and only work over the range 450 to 800 MHz. I'd go for a passive satellite splitter and accept the small loss.

Hello,

If just scanning then yes it would work.
In my old set up I ran quite a few scanners from two homebrew civ/mil aerials all
linked together using just T pieces on the coax/patch leads. Seemed to work good to me.
