Yaesu YM-38 Desk Mic Wiring.

Hi
Could anyone tell me please if the Yaesu Mic YM-38 is comaptible with a yasesu FT840
will it plug straight in
or do i need to rewire ?
Any Help Please

From memory, the older Yaesu microphones used 4 wires connected to 6, 7 & 8.

White was generally audio and connected to pin 8
Red was PTT and connected to pin 6
Black + shield were common ground that went to pin 7

There ought to be wiring diagrams out there in Google Land but if these are the colours in your mic, chances are it's as above.
