And these slightly unusual handhelds with rubber ducks instead of telescopic antennas both came with batteries and are working fine

Picked this up a couple of weeks back. Sold as untested but never used.
Turned out to be brand new in the box. Works perfectly.

Oooo...shiny!
Was that from that clearout of "grandad's collection" on ebay at the moment? There are some decent radios coming from there so he must've liked his CB gear.

It was indeed. I had been looking for one of these for ages, but Galaxy have major component shortages, so it's been discontinued. I literally stumbled across this just after it was listed, so was lucky to bag it :D

Bought a somewhat tatty SS360 AM/SSB instruction manual for my recently-aquired radio. It was only £6-odd posted so hopefully worth it.

Don't quite know why yet, but I've bought a very tidy Fidelity 3000 homebase AND a very tidy Fidelity 2000 as a job-lot for £43.
I've already got both, so perhaps I just didn't want them going to anyone else for that price???

I bought a ss3900 manual off the same seller for £3, manual is in French but it came with extra folded A4 with English instructions too.

I've bought from him before and he's sound. I had 2 rare, old new stock Stalker ST9F-DX brackets from him. Just had to buy the thick rubber washers for them.

To celebrate the fact that I finally got a job (that I wanted :) ) after 8 months being unemployed , I thought I'd treat myself :D

Saying that I'll be punting them anyway as I've racked up a few debts over the last few months :)

Nice :) ...and congrat's on your latest employment mate. Having been made redundant 3 times in the past myself, I know it can be a bummer to get a decent replacement job.

Just this second bought a Midland Portapak (with aerial & battery case for once) and 2 Harrier CBX's (one having an Astatic teardrop mic' attached to it!) for £110. Nice.

Cheers Dave. I went back to the UK to work in 2017 , but left again last year. Wanted to find a WFH position here in Alicante , which I've now found. I've been made redundant twice , but only here in Spain. Anyway. I'm hoping that this one will see me through to retirement , but we'll see what happens .
