From what I remember the general squelch level is set within the tuning software and adjustments for each programmed frequency are set as required withing the RSS..
BE WARNED the radio can be bricked by playing around with the tuning software..
With the copies I shared out in later years I included a text file you printed out, this allowed you to fill in the printed file with your tuning settings of the radio you are playing with... That way you could play with the tunable settings but are able to restore the defaults. It could also be used during MASC cloning...
