Was listening to a pmr network this evening via my uv5.
The speaker whilst clear isn't brilliant.
So my thought Is to buy a set of stereo speakers to suit . Had a quick Google but the only speakers that came up require a power source separate to the radio. For computer media they state.
Are their any better speakers out their that won't require a separate power source firstly and if so will they cause extra drain on battery.
Will they need to be of a certain size of impedance too.
Jack plug I believe the baofeng is a 2.5 standard stereo plug although I can buy a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter stereo.
I have several 8 ohm mono 3.5 mm plug type extension speakers for my radio gear already but thinking these may not work.
Help would be much appreciated please.
Thank you
