Just a CB, nothing fancy.
Keep in mind, that not longer manufactured and limited spares/service possibilities in EU.

They work well but the build quality is pretty poor.

I would rather have an Anytone type radio personally.

I have one here with modulation issues - like no audio on any mode. I've never managed to find a schematic for one.

As above they fo work very well, no daft colour changing screen no echo etc but the build quality isn't great, if I was buying a 11m radio I would now go for the ss6900 Mass dx5000 type as they seem to be better built.

I’ve had a few over the years.... With different results... The first one I bought was a MK1 from the then Radiozing... I have to say it was spot on and quite honestly the best mulitimode I have ever had... Its only downfall was quiet audio on fm... But hey on SSB it excelled.. I had loads of contacts on 10,11 and 12 and all with good reports ... I did use a Japan made HM-36 with it which made a significant improvement over the stock mic.

Only sold it as I bought a Yaesu FT-897D... I have always regretted it ... Since I have had a few more and all have been no match for the original.. I had a MK3 that had clearly been used before or been back for ‘tweaking’ This again was from Radiozing .. Sent that one back and had a couple that had gremlins...

In the end I decided to bite the bullet and go direct to Yeticom... Cost a bit more but I thought at least I would get a good one.... Unfortunately the one I had would lose power as you were talking and only part of the transmission would be received... To be fair Yeticom refunded me immediately .... But really all I wanted was a working one... So pretty much gave up after that.

If I could have my original back I would.

If the quality control had been on top of things this should have been a great wee radio ... But in the end .... Hit and miss ...

I've had a MK3 from radiozing from new, never had any issues with build quality. I also purchased the HM-36 mic, had no problems with the audio. Still does 50w out the back. Found it works really well mobile.

I have a V2. It's the first Optima I've used/owned and I'm pleasantly surprised. I got it a couple of months back and always good reports on SSB.

It came with a cheap Chinese copy ICOM HM36 mic which, believe it or not, suits the radio perfectly (link below).

I must say I like the radio. Perhaps, as is often the case with modern radio's, it comes down to the luck of the draw as to whether or not you get a good radio. Both build and quality control serms very hit and miss.

Yes there was mate less than 100 made I did own one, the number 4 button was upgraded to memory scan and the vfo knob was labelled VFO instead of channel. All mk2 Optima serial numbers started with #64****.

Indeed there was. You'd be very lucky to find one though as less than 100 units were sold.
