Studying for Foundation Licence
I've been studying for my foundation licence for maybe a month now, but for some reason, now I can't be bothered. I don't know if it's the weather, but I've just lost my focus and concentration.
I'll do fine on the technical side, but I've been doing practice exams for the Licencing Conditions and can't see to remember everything.
Any advice? Thanks!

Have you looked at an online course? The HamTrain course splits the material into modules, with a series of mock tests and videos, plus others to chat to in the virtual classroom - might help to motivate?

Ask Dec to give you a hand. Is he going for it as well?

When I gain my foundation Licence, what can I not do?
Can I join local repeater nets and CQ call?

Re: Studying for Foundation Licence
You cannot go faster than 10 watts (though some calculate their feeder losses as 90% and use 100w to compensate) and you cannot go on 60m, though no-one hardly does anyway.
So yes, all modes, all bands.
A lot jump straight to FT8 and 'work' the world (its just computer wackamole to me) but CQ call - Yes, fill your boots, the more who actually get on the air and actually talk the better.

I'm getting better. Do you know the minimum pass mark to pass the foundation exam?

I've got my exam booked for next month, so fingers crossed. I'll do some more revision in the meantime, haven't done any for a good few weeks!

Don't give up at the first hurdle !
You are just starting out in a fantastic hobby.
If you can find a local club after lockdown you should find a wealth of knowledge to help you as you hopefully progress.

Well Done, congratulations, One thing I have learned the more effort you put into something the more appreciative you are when you get results.
Full licence soon Im sure you can do it.
Again well done!
