Help with air band frequencies

Post by AMX97 »

Not sure where to ask this but. (please be kind) Does anyone know the frequencies pilots talk back to the tower with i've not heard anything but tower telling people what to do... also does anyone know if there is a frequency where pilots can talk to each other like a open channel type thing.

Thanks.

if there is a more appropriate place for this can someone tell me please.
Thanks :)

The tower works both ways and its most likely the aircraft you can hear repeating the instructions. You would have to be close to the airfield to get the tower but the aircraft is high up so has better range. Aircraft don't really need to talk to each other on a ch much. They use Guard 121.5 now and again or sometimes 123.45
