Which datacable Lincoln 2+

Post by ballo » 03 May 2017, 18:50

Hello,

I bought a President Lincoln 2+ and this transceiver has a data-port onn the backside.(see photo)
Is a special data-cable (with interface) or is a normal mini-usb cable needed to prgram the L2+ ?

I don't know for sure, but I would guess it's the same as the CRE8900. <link>

Do you know whether the Lincoln 2 V3 has programming software?

Hello

I bought a 6 in 1 cable for $7 one year ago.
It fits for different brands like Yaesu, Icom, Retevis, Anytone, Kenwood and so on. Six adapters and a CD rom are supplied. One for all the ssb exports is missing.

Yesterday I made my own adapter for the lincoln II+ with an old mini-USB cable and a 3,5mm stereo jack. I connect it to the main USB converter of the 6in1 set.
Works perfekt! If you need pinout or pics give me a message!

- That sounds great! I`ll be happy if you provide me pinout for your solution.
What I am really looking for, is a pinout for an ordinary Mini-usb cable to use for programming the Lincoln II+,
maybe it is possible to cut the cable and reconnect the wires to fit this radio?

Certainly with the SS9900, CRE8900 and Anytone 5555 type radios - they use +5V RS232 on a USB connector, not USB.
If this is the case with the Lincoln 2, which I suspect it is, you won't be able to use a standard USB lead.
