So all day i've been getting the dreaded mototrbo digital noise. :( bye bye warrington its been fun listening.

How can this Chanel be listened to ? Any way around it ?

They are still using the icon radios or so I've been told but they have had a digital chip put into them
Is it not possible to buy the exact radio, programme it in and buy one of the chips that fit in and then listen in

I have no idea what you're talking about my friend, DMR is DMR, same as FM is FM, so if they're not encrypted then you can get them on any DMR radio that covers their frequency or use the cheap and cheerful SDR method.

If that's true (and I assume you mean Icom not Icon) then it's not DMR/MotoTRBO, but NXDN4800. This page my help with identification: http://www.w2sjw.com/radio_sounds.html

Even if it is NXDN and not DMR, the solution at post 2 is still your best bet.

I don't know if it helps there silver small and I didn't really see the name on it,I. Had hold of it in the pub next time I go in ill get the name off it he told me that there all on the same channel ,he a barman and has no idea ,and when I asked ere the base is he said it moves around or something ? Didn't get that bit

Yep keep looking mate,
on eBay there is a radio that it's guaranteed to pick up mototrbo digital radios that's it's dedicated job ( apparently) it has all ctcss & dcs it's called keruier dm uhf 400-480 MHz handheld radio transceiver I have no idea if this will work or if this is absolute crap
