Airports on UHF

Post by Beefi »

Hi Guys
I understand that the big airports have a relay or their Tower and Ground frequencies on UHF for the ground crew and staff to use portables and mobiles around the site so they don't need to use air band frequencies. Now the obvious question, any body have an up to date list of these frequencies for Gatwick, Heathrow, Stanstead, East Mids and Manchester. Why? Well if you are near to a site you can use an FM handie to monitor tower or ground and an air band radio to monitor approach or LATCC all at the same time.
Thanks

True, but I might be around that way one day so I will keep it on file (and in the Radio) Is it tower or ground - or both?

Stansted is on 455.550, CTCSS 118.8. This is normally a Ground relay but changes to Tower at quieter times when Ground is closed.

Ah, cheers for clearing that up, I can hear 455.850 out here in Consett, but wasn't sure what it was exactly.
