there is not much around now days AOR did have a program called Searchlight but it is not on their website now.
There are others such as:
http://www.computer-int.com/radiocom_4_5%5E2.htm
or
http://www.scancat.com/scg-win2.html

Both cost money though :( but can be used with many different radios

Or maybe here free and available :D

rayzor,

As you can see I'm a returning newbie!

Just dug out my AR3000A. Firstly, I can't download your zip file ar300016.zip. Can you reattach please?
Secondly, please can you help re cable? I seem to recall I used a RS232(?) cable but now my PC has USB's!!!! plus one serial mouse port.

Any help please!!

Thanks

Rayzor,

I wonder if you could expand on setting up the zipped prog to the AR 3000A please?

I've downloaded your file and unzipped to my PC. I can open the prog and have a control screen.

I connected my set via the RS232 socket with a connector to a usb plug, into my PC. (Should this be RS232 from set to 9pin serial on PC rear?)

I have switched the remote 'on' on set back.

I am unsure re baud rate, com port etc using a usb - help please!! The control screen remains on the writers details (German??)

Any help would be appreciated please.

Thank you

I know this may be a long shot but has anyone got the software I can either buy or have a copy of for the AOR AR 3000a. Also looking for the programing cable. I am now a retired pensioner and would like to use this radio better than I have done before. Thank you

It would be nice if you could reply to those whom have taken the time to help you and let them know how you got on.... You often post new threads asking for help and then never post again on that thread. People may be less-incline to help if this becomes the norm for you.....
