Cobra 25 UK LTD ST

Post by CobraSFX »

I have a Cobra 25 UK LTD ST, when i first switched it on it was in receive mode for a few seconds then its tx light came on, its not txing any power thru my meter and nothings registering on the frequency counter, i CAN key the mic and put voice over to another rig beside it, this also registers around 4 watts and is on frequency on the counter, unplugging the mic does not make the tx light go off, there is no receive audio, just silence like its keyed up, when i do key up i can see the rx/tx bulb flicker.

Any ideas?

First thing to check is your mic. Can you borrow one. Possibly a sticky button. The tx light should be green/ red when transmitting. Clean your connectors. I wouldn't suggest banging your mic but...
