A couple of notes to add to it,

Direct cabs
167.4125-172.2125
On 167.4125 the office is tx on CTCSS 77.0 the cars on 94.8
On 172.2125 office is CTCSS 94.8 cars on 77.0


There is also occasional voice transmission on 164.6875. It used to be the frequency for Rainbow Cabs but I have no idea who is using it at present.

165.1875 is also active, oddly, when I am set to FM or CTCSS Search it is garbled and indistinct, perfectly readable on AM. Sounds like a taxi firm but no ID as yet. I think 169.9875 is the car frequency.

Thanx for the updates you have anymore local Freq's?

Did know about the Direct CTCSS just forgot to update my list before posting LOL

Also heard voice on rainbow old TX Freq but no details on OFCOM for that freq.

Not heard anything on 165.1875 but will have a listen now on AM.

I hear alot more Airband and PMR446 Ham ect just wanted to share the ones who i knew who they were.

OFCOM have 165.1875 registered to C&G Concrete (0280921) Stamford.

I found another user for it as well, forgotten who it was or where I found it though. That said it is definitely something like a taxi as the female voice was telling "number three that will be x pounds".
Will have another listen this weekend and see if I can pin it down. I am in Lincoln south/centre so unless it is on a repeater to this area I guess I would struggle to hear a Stamford firm, that said next time I am in that part of the world I will see if I can pick them up.

I'm uphill Lincoln. I did a search Lincoln +-25KM with that frequency and only got the C&G hit.

Re 165.1875 base tx. This is definately a taxi firm in the Lincoln city area from tonight's traffic. The previous registered user in the city was SPS Security at Lincoln Uni. Who it currently using it, I haven't worked out yet. Still not sure if 169.9875 is connected.

I have not heard anything on that freq yet. Think i need a better aerial.

I am using a Watson supergainer W881 on a PSR295 if that helps.

Since getting my cables i run my scanner upstairs plugged in with bctool logging and recording. Think i need to get a homebase type aerial for it to try and pull in the more distant signals.

May try and make an airband biconical.

And then summit for VHF & UHF.
