Great little rig and still looking good with all the newer stuff
Here's one I bought off ebay a few years back. Box says DNT Calypso, the manual says EuroCB 3900 LCD and the radio says Team Tricom 444. Dufferent display layout to the Dirland and only one output transistor (2sc1969). Also the course tune is locked. Only the fine tune works. A bizarre state of affairs...

A right old Mish mash. Box looking awesome.
I wish I had one for my dirland.
I was tempted by the midland version... But it had lost it's front panel and I was unsure if my dirland panel would work it and besides all that it was starting to look expensive for junk

Some nice stuff there Dave. I'm just glad I don't collect CEPT or AM stuff too then or I'd need to extend my loft lol. I've about a dozen SSB radios but otherwise it's all stamped UK40 stuff. I couldn't afford to get lots more SSB stuff anyway with the prices asked for them nowadays!

Just the opposite here. Not a single 27/81 radio to be seen.

Yeah, you don't find many bargains anymore. Most of my earlier purchases were about £20-£25 for boxed Rotel 240's etc. The least I've ever paid was £1.59 plus about £2.50 postage at the time for a decent Alba radio (same as a Harvard). Most of the crap starts at £20 these days!

I paid £14 for my boxed rotel 230 and the boxed maxcom 7e which had it's outer cardboard box too.

Prices go up and down, but lately they've gone up and up and up...

I've got 6 EMS Mercury 1040 UK40 radios in various front panel and casing colours and they cost me as little as £10 each for 2 of them (Thanks Nick), the most expensive was £60 and my latest one was £40 but it doesn't have any RX audio by the looks of it.

However, when that radio collector Peter King used to buy everything up on ebay, he'd pay WAY over the odds for stuff. God knows how many he had in his collection when he passed away. If he was willing to pay £350 for his Mercury's as he did (have got the screenshot), I had no chance of winning any for a decent price!

Tomcat was another chap on here that had some really good stuff, some rare too, but he doesn't come on very often. I wonder how many he's got now if he's still collecting?

Off the top of my head I think I've got around forty or so give or take a couple. I'll have a proper count and get a few pics taken and posted.

Not sure if I should post any photo's of a certain Cobra 148 though in case Sammy goes into meltdown

I don't have that many at present. I have a Mint Black dual clarifier Grant, a Mint early Dirland 3900E

A Fidelity 2000 which is very tidy
Maxcom Super 4E which is mint
Two Maxcom 4E, one of which is Mint
A Mint Cobra 19X
A scruffy Midland 77-104 UK which was an old friends
An AM Midland 77-104 which is a bit scruffy.

Numerous other radios in bits/states or repair.
Mudslinger - Simon

There is no such thing as a Fidelity 1000 which is too good to scrap.
