Just seen on the TV that the long awaited River Ouse Rescue Boat starts training today. I know that they are on Pub Watch but those of you in York may want to search the marine band over Easter.

Hi guys want to say sorry for not posting here often I'm getting a new antenna set up you see and not been on the radio much. Once I get the new antennas set up in the attic I will see if there are some more interesting frequencies to listen to.

No worries. I no longer work in York as I got a job on the east side of Leeds. I'm in and industrial area so there's lots of PMR446 and UHF light license stuff, plus some CB from the lorry parks and the usual VHF high band usage.

When at home, I get a surprising amount of stuff from around York.

Ahhh I see. I'm going to be keeping a listen on the scanner and I will put any new frequencies I find here on this thread.

I'm hearing some foreign as well as English chatter on 164.4875.

164.4875 was used by the TDF french planes, most likely them doing the TDY.

This sounds more like an African lingo.

Did you note the tone?

Anybody out tomorrow may wish to monitor the MRT repeater freqs as they were very busy last year.

They're not using a CT tone so far.

I can hear it too, trunking radio chatter, some of it in what appears to be Arabic but sometimes they are speaking in English I heard "Were going to the petrol station in the town area and we will be there soon"

That frequency is in a trunked block issued by Radphone in Hull

been listening to users on those for about 10 years. But very recently the evenings seem to be dominated by foreign sounding taxi drivers

The farmers are worth a listen on the Radphone freqs near Scunthorpe. F word then C word every other word.

York Rescue Boat are on digital im not sure if its DMR or tetra more than likey DMR i cant remember if it was VHF Or UHF .... i asked them and they told me but cant remember
