If this guy was a friend of yours and a TM1 member then you can send a request to Admin and they can assign the 'Silent Key' avatar to this persons account.

It's not much, but a lasting legacy as long as this board exists to a lost friend, weety kindly did it for G4ILO who was a friend of mine, just a mark of respect and hopefully a reminder of friends lost to anyone bumping ancient threads.

I have updated the Avatar for DougalDM47, Mike's passing has been noted on the boards so that if anyone comes across his posts, they will know he is no longer with us.

If anyone else knows of any TM1 member who has also sadly passed, then please PM me with their username on TM1 and the date they passed so I can update their account. Thanks

Not a new SK but dredging through some old photos for a non-radio reason and found some old pics of 'Flycatcher', Pete Burns, a good friend and thoroughly lovely guy, and I missed his funeral 20 years ago which still eats into me all these years later.
Pete had a legal station from day one (apart from his NATO2000) on 27/81 but had a great antenna and was such a great guy he had many friends from all around East Anglia and beyond. Also mentioned elsewhere, his and my mate G3JKW Jack Warrington, good times.

Blimey, that's big news locally, a real stalwart of 31 back from when Ken ran it.

Robert Markie, AKA Fusebox from Paisley, died from heart complications yesterday.
Rab was well known around the globe in the late 70's and early 80's as 108PY01.

As you can see from my signature I am/was 108PY060 . I enjoyed many a night at the group meetings in Eldersie . Lots of good memories listening to Rab and Joe arguing with each other . I learned a lot from Rab . He'd been into radio since god knows when . Got busted umpteen times , but always survived and generally caused the DTI years of pain and suffering . Still coming to terms with the fact that he's gone . Spoke to him a few years ago on 10m from my home in Spain . I knew it was him as soon as I heard his voice . He'll be deeply missed within the 108 radio world .

RIP m8
