rarest cybernet?
At first glance this radio resembles a colt 1200dx. So far I've not found anyone else with a PETRUSSE PACIFIC 160 other than Big pimp. Having not seen a colt 1200dx before My first one on ebay, I was hooked. A friend offered it to me it was the 4 bands, kc shift and switchable bleep (all standard) that won me over. I've seen how some of you post pics of the internals so here goes. It's not a '121' boarded cybernet....
I'll try and discover where my computer has sent the pics of the other side of the board and post them later.....You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Same board as a Colt 1600DX, Tristar 777, Hygain V (8795), Superstar 2000.
I remember those things being openly on sale at Mister Resistor in Plymouth

Re: rarest cybernet?
There were once plenty of tazmanian wolves....but long since vanished. This is my point. Not that there used to be plenty but that today they seem to be very scarce. Has anyone used a petrusse pacific 160 or tagra version. They're quite a big radio. Not as nice looking as the shiney ss2000. But the black plastic box is the only cybernet that has gotten me overseas......The only other 160 I've seen in the flesh was about to be converted to 10mtres in 1985.

Re: rarest cybernet?
"Sorry"
It's is the same looking radio as the colt 1200dx but thet's all as the 1200dx uses the 121 cybernet board .......................
The MK3 cybernet board radio's are alot better on FM audio than the older 059-121 cybernet board radio's out there..
Here's a Review on the colt 1200dx if eney one is interested in the 1200dx
http://www.transmission1.co.uk/2004/04/ ... -cb-radio/
Did you pay much for it wheel bender if you don't mind me asking as it's looking very well for saying how old it is...........................

Re: rarest cybernet?
A mate of mine had a box of ssb radios , 588,laffeyete 1200dx,petrusse, some am 40chs. He gave me first choice. Not knowing wether it would work or not I gave him £30 and once it had been to Nick for a tune up (major work) and an eprom it owed me an extra £50. very good radio it has the edge over my nato and to date is the only cybernet that I've got over seas with.Originally I wanted it to cover the same chs as my five band cobra but the petrusse wouldn't lock over slo-shi so we settled on an eprom to get 27.991. I reckon £80 for a fully tuned ssb radio is a fair price. That's exactly what my nato owes me as well.

Re: rarest cybernet?
there's some rarities in pimp's collection. As has been mentioned before on this forum but there seem to be loads of concorde mk2s and no mk1s! I prefer chrome fronted uniden radios but it's nice to have a go on the dark side with me two 'darthvader' radios from time to time. Nice one astrodyne.
