Re: rarest cybernet?
Some of the recent Romanian radio's would fit that bill. I'm not sure if the customer returns thing is true or not, but the box mine arrived in had never been opened and the inner bag containing the radio was also unopened. Everything you'd expect from a brand new radio.Buick Mackane wrote: ↑17 Feb 2022, 19:51 The rarest cybernet is one that hasn't been modded or screwdrivered to hell
My only other Cybernet is a Multimode 2. Just about mint with no mods or tweaks. Channel display is still 41 - 80 on the high band. I got it off some idiot in Preston who'd flooded all the pots with switch cleaner. When I received the radio and took it out of the box the whole front panel was dripping with the stuff. Thankfully no damage. I think I swapped a CRT 3900 for it if I recall correctly.
Yes, I'd rather have the Multimode 2 over a CRT 3900 any day.
Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!
Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...

Re: rarest cybernet?
There isn't an aerial on it, just a stubby mount on the front panel for when used as a portable (I think about 8mm) that an aerial can be screwed into. I converted the top 3/8ths part off a gutter-mount to fit it a few years back so a half-breed Cherokee or similar could be used and I put some pic's on here.
I'm buggered if I know what I did with it though!

Re: rarest cybernet?
I must admit I don't like taking radios apart. I doubt if it is a "Cyber" board as it's probably a bit too compact.
What about this one below? We all know the popular Binatone Route 66 (but again, I don't know what board is in them), but this is a rarer version, boxed too. I've never seen another:

Re: rarest cybernet?
Does the Route 66 have a cybernet board?
I know the speedway did, but I was under the impression that the 66 had a Eurosonic board or similar.

There is no such thing as a Fidelity 1000 which is too good to scrap.

The Route 66 is not Cybernet. There are 2 versions one with a PLL02A and later with LC7137.Mudslinger wrote: ↑23 Feb 2022, 07:55 Does the Route 66 have a cybernet board?

All boards look the same to me, except some are green, some are brown and the odd one is blue!

Re: rarest cybernet?
The first rig that lbcomms made for us, cybernet made into a multimode of sorts with a lcd screen that showed frequencies and channel at the same time. It was the only one in existence. Worked great until 2018 when alternator in car went bezerk and boiled the battery dry, popped all the headlight bulbs, and smoked up the radio.
Sue, dont think i ever got it back from you, still got pictures of the thing? Would be great if its fixable!
