Right then....

Fez has completed his planning and we have ordered the parts. We hope to have some basic PTT/serial interface kits ready to go in the next few weeks.

Fez is sending me some kits this week and I will construct one and connect it to a radio here, at which time we will conduct live on-air tests using FRN...

If anyone else is interested in getting an FRN node up and running, please post your interest here. We can provide you with a kit at-cost. We estimate somewhere around £5.

Would be cool to get a TM1 FRN net going on some kind of regular basis!

Big-up to Fez for all his hard work thus far. Its really appreciated matie! :D

I'd be interested, but I also need a rig that can cover 27.500 so I can play.... Any suggestions on something cheap I could use.

This project would be for either UK40 or MID band, whichever suited you best.

The kit Fez has designed also means it is possible to connect to a 446 radio and use that as the local FRN gateway....

Look on ebay for older 120ch radios for 27.500 access matie. You'll need one that does a 5kc shift though, as most chanelised radios don't do this...

OK, I'll monitor whatever channel you go for on my HF receiver and see what I can hear, its all set to handle PSK31 now.

I assume for PSK31 to be properly utilized it should be on an AM channel so multiple conversations can be ongoing on a single channel ???

Coming into this one a bit late, but where did you end up with it? I'd certainly like to know more and whether your trials were abused.
