131.4875 ?
anybody know what the frequency of 131.4875 is and where it is from? i receive it well and i live near wisbech cambridgeshire.

121.4875? I have just double checked what I believed to be the case & yes it's not a legitimate airband frequency. Or to put it more honestly I did a Google & checked Airband frequencies.
I would suggest you check it as an internally produced signal....Second channel response...
First find your IF...This should be in the radios handbook or readily available on the internet, then double it, add the 131.4875 & google that as a frequency or look it up on Scanproma.
The chances are the problem signal will be a good strong one were you are.

I vaguely remember something mentioned somewhere like that, and I'm impressed that I've managed to find it with Google

Good find...My understanding was that 8.33Khz spacing would only be licensable for high altitude air traffic..
But if air companies are using it & it's not licensable for that kind of traffic then it's going to make court cases involving alleged interference to air traffic difficult.
