Yes, will work. I suggest to use lowpass filter after the amp.

Re: CB Amplifier recommendations
That will be my next investment in a small Amp for mobile use I had a CTE 797 way back in the 90’s similar to a zetagi was a nice size Amp with 6 settings if my memory serves me right
Radio I would match that to would be a ranger RCI 2950 DX once I can find a reliable qualified Technician.

Re: CB Amplifier recommendations
I have had a couple of RM-203p and I am happy with them for a cheap amp. They sound better on SSB than regular transistor amps.
100 watts (or more like 80 watts in reality) is enough for me. After that it gets much more expensive for diminishing returns.

There is no such thing as a Fidelity 1000 which is too good to scrap.

Re: CB Amplifier recommendations
With a sensible input of around 6 watts FM they easily do 80 watts. You can drive them up to 10 watts but it doesn't really increase the output very much, and all you are doing is making extra heat and shortening the life of the amp.
On SSB I have run them up to 15 watts PEP input and that gives around 160w PEP (On my meter)
