Scanning Frequencies

Post by Milosz0305 »

Hello guys, hope your all well,
Im from Slough, UK. And I was wondering if you guys know any interesting frequencies I could listen to, I heard that Pub Watch uses 462.025 and 456.525 but all I hear is a buzzing noise which probably means its DMR (?)
Thanks in advance, Milosz

I can't help with frequencies for Slough, but almost everything except Airband and Marine has gone to DMR now. The VHF/UHF amateur bands are still analogue but are pretty quiet.

It all depends when you listen... HF has been banging so I expect a lot of people are on there now while conditions last. If you tune in on 2 meters there is often activity after 8:00pm plenty of nets running... around my way London 70cms simplex has become somewhat unusable across 433 MHz because of interference issues that makes it very hard to hear people and its all over the London area. PMR446 has been active recently, plenty of activity there after 8:00 pm with nets running as well. It would be nice if Hams could make use of Digital simplex on 70cms.

Lots and lots if you search in and around Slough. Are you searching the correct ranges or perhaps you have an old analogue scanner in which case you won't receive much apart from LHR airband?
