Using that tuner without RF source will be difficult.
Properly built LW doesn't need AT, especially only for RX.
What bands are you listening?

It might, but I think you'd be better off buying a receive only tuner if you're only going to receive, it'd be cheaper too.

I think MFJ-956, MFJ-1046, MFJ-1020c- would work for you.
