Superstar .... Just when you think you've seen them all

I love this hobby . Here I am looking at stuff for sale locally , and I come across this guy .

What is this ? The guy has listed it as a Superstar 360 , but I don't think it says 360 on the facia . When I zoom in looks like 3009 . It's not a 3900 , and it's not an old Uniden 360 . Nor is it an old Superstar 3600 (120ch) . So what is it ? Anyone know ? Looks like 40ch AM/SSB and no FM. No Coarse control either , and it says "Dxmike" , not Mic Gain . Weird . Maybe something they (Ranger) made before the old 3600 , as it's got the same style of controls ? I'll maybe ask the guy for more photos .

Thanks Claude. That's strange. Your photo from 2013 is exactly the same as the one that's for sale here now. Even has the stuck needle on the S meter. I'm going to see if I can get the guy to send me more photos , as maybe he's downloaded it from the Internet or something.

Pity there's no schematic in the owners manual , as it would be interesting to see.

Looks to be 6 bands on the S/cal switch

There's an EPT number printed on the board on your link Claude , but I can't see the number. If it's 6 bands then maybe the 10A ?

The problem is that I don't know what the guy's selling Dave. Either he's got a 360 , and for some strange reason has uploaded a stock photo of a 3001. Or , he does have a 3001 , and has decided to upload a stock photo instead of a photo of the radio that he's selling.

Either way he still hasn't replied to my message , so we might never know.
