I was in St Helens for an hour earlier,, nothing on 456.400 but that could easily happen. I got something on I'm certain on 450.300 near the bus station with a talkgroup number that looked like the balance in Sir Paul McCartney's bank account. I stopped the search there but I had to reach inside my jacket pocket first

St Helens pub/shops 456.4000 dmr diff talk groups

Church square security dmr 453.5000

Hard Shaw is 453.7750 dmr

Saints ground dmr 453.2750 and 453.5500 loads of different talk groups as there shared frequencies with food stall staff, security and ambulance staff

There’s also a strong dmr signal in the St Helens area on frequencie 445.6125 different talk groups sounds like there Blackpool based with repeaters in the Manchester area

I heard someone on 450.300 in the Hardshaw I thought that was their security. 445.6125 is in Blackpool, I can hear it in Runcorn. I recognised the names of pubs. I'll be back in the Warrington / St Helens area in the next 2-3 weeks. I'll programme in the above and have a listen

Just realised tonight when I was sorting out channels and adding 3 from Liverpool (Met Quarter, John Lewis, the shopwatch plus 3 I couldnt identify) that 450.300 was actually a prison

Its 10 miles in a straight line and picked it up in St Helens with an Anytone with a nagoya stubby on top

456.750 appears to be shops and security in St Helens. Two different talk groups. A hair salon and a shop gave it away. I'm guessing Church Square

I've found 3 channels on this now, a channel 1 and 2 for the same place, I didn't catch the details for the 3rd.

You can. In the 878 Optional Settings under Digital Func. put Digital Monitor CC to Any, also Monitor ID to Any. That way if other users are on that frequency you will hear them as well. Some users have two or more channels on the same frequency, but different colour codes, which are basically the digital equivalent of CTCSS or DCS tones.
