Yaseu FT767 Modules and fitting nightmare!!

Post by DjPmb »

After waiting ages to source the 3 modules for my FT 767 and pulling the covers off, I was greeted with half a remote control with batteries (assuming the battery has failed at some point) and wires across where the 70cm module should go in. The battery thing I can deal with as I will look to use a smaller holder for a button cell, but the wires across the back surely shoudn't be in that location? Has anybody else come across this issue before I start delving and opening the radio up? I acquired the radio a couple of years back and it has been flawless in performance so you can imagine my shock when removing the back covers! Please see the images. Any help greatly appreciated. 73's M7CUW.

I have the same radio and thankfully for me it was already fitted with the modules.
However if I can help, I will.
