UHIC005 VCO chip schematic

Post by UNIT399 »

I am trying to source the schematic diagram WITH COMPONENT VALUES for the Uniden UHIC005 VCO chip used in the Uniden 858SSB chassis. Rick Jackson Euro Radio posted a schematic with values for the UHIC007 used in the 148GTL chassis, but I can't find info on the UHIC005 anywhere. The schematic for the 005 is shown in the Realistic TRC 449, 457, 458 Service manuals, but w/o component values.
Anybody help me out here ?? Thanks.

I think I've got it on paper somewhere, if you don't have any luck elsewhere let us know and I'll go through the filing cabinet archives for it.

The only trouble we seen to get with those is loss of the feedback output that goes through the downmixer to lock the PLL, causing a no TX or RX condition. No need to replace the module (unless you are super fussy about keeping the radio original), the signal needed for the downmix can be obtained elsewhere with a simple mod.
