The installation of the chip was done by "Anesttech" in Germany some years ago. But the project was stopped after a short time. The chip cost 50,00 EUR at this time.

I am guessing the HTX-100 version of the UC1201 - the UC1208 processor with new programming?

If this is simply to enable IIm then there’s a dead simple mod that can be done by anyone that can use a soldering iron and can solder a Ik resistor. Pennies. If it’s totally different I apologise for wasting your time

The Chipswitch is far more than that. It extends the coverage to give the 12 metre band. It also adds a memory function amongst many other things.
Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!

Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...
