I read a post that this coax is a professional use coax and is I think 83% or 87% braid as found 2 different sites sugesting both.
So is it any better than a rg58 or 8 mini . Was wondering if it may be better suited to uhf fre .
Seems simular size wise but to be fair I don't ever understand the specs
But confused on its use and if it's any better than 58 so on.
I even read it's as good as 213 surely not ??
Any advised please

Re: Webro urm 76 coax
It is similar to rg213
I wouldn't use it for UHF.
If 20m coax used, half of the power reach antenna. 50% loss, that's a lot.

Re: Webro urm 76 coax
Thanks chris. I had read a post stating that I was surprised as I saw it same as rg 58.
Read it's used for pro installs for police ,fire so on.
Usable then. Would it make a better t2lt than 58 do you think chris.or wasted on it .
Where what would you use it on for Chris plesse.
So I get a better understanding

Re: Webro urm 76 coax
I have no experience with this coax, but the datasheet tells you all you need to know.
Losses at 200Mhz are just over 27db per 100m
Losses at 600Mhz are just over 39db per 100m
Compare this to M&P Ultraflex 7 (83% braid coverage)
Losses at 200Mhz are just over 8db per 100m
Losses at 600Mhz are just over 14db per 100m
M&P has less loss than RG213. As the name suggests, it's diameter is 7mm. It outperforms RG213.
If you want an excellent low loss coax for VHF & UHF, Ultraflex 10 would be my choice for reasonable runs & 13 for long runs. I can provide you with datasheet, or get from M&P directly.
I use Ultraflex 7 on HF, Ultraflex 10 on 6m-70cms & I use Ultraflex 13 for 23cms. IMHO, M&P are amongst the best "non-hardline" coax cables you can get.

Re: Webro urm 76 coax
Thank you for the useful imfo .Will look at these types too. Quality certainly has benefits with feeder and plugs
