Thumbscrews
I know.. I know. What an interesting thread. But hear me out
I had a bag of these , which I've just sorted out. Most are the standard "long" type that go with the Cobra , Superstar etc. I also have some which look the same diameter , but are shorter. However , I have some which have a wider diameter , and I'm just wondering what radios they fit. I must have took them off of some radios , but they don't fit my 360FM mk 2 or my 148 GTL. Any ideas ? It's the ones in the middle image.

Re: Thumbscrews
You are probably looking at radios such as the Magnum S9 as they seem to be a wider diameter Sammy.

Re: Thumbscrews
Hi Gareth.
Cheers for that. Some older radios must use them too I think. I'll check them against the ones I have the next time I use them.

Re: Thumbscrews
I have about 5 or 6 different types, the ones like yours plus other ones like the Amstrad type with "wings" on and some stubby, round fluted black bolts off some weird radios etc.
It's always handy to have a few spare ones knocking around.
I'm just in need of a few 180mm Cybernet radio mounting brackets rather than the mounting bolts.

Re: Thumbscrews
The wider (6mm?) ones are commonly used on Maxon radios. The shorter 5mm ones are used on the President Lincoln (among others?).

Cheers Tim. Never had a Macon either , but it's good to know. I've no idea where I got them from. Anyway. I'll keep a few of them just in case

If you want to off-load a few, I'll buy some of each size off you Sammy. They're always handy and I'm getting low on some sizes, especially as Cobra's use 4 of the buggers at a time!
