No . Not yet . I have one of these , but I've never used my program cable or the software , so I might give it a go . I'll let you know if I can help .

The workgroup are the bands you want active on the radio.
You need to list all the bands and frequencies in the "Bands" then select the ones you want to send to the radio in "Workgroup"

I've just fired mine up for the first time . To be honest I'm not 100% sure about the Workgroups either . I have bands A-J and Workgroups A-J . How exactly do you "send" a band to a Workgroup , and why would you have to ?

Confusing isn't it.
I must get my 9900 back out of my VW camper and get it hooked up again, to remind me how the software works.
I know I programmed it myself 2 years ago for the UK40 etc etc but I need to refresh myself re all of this because I now wish to set up another band as "Mid Band A.M." so I can scan for USA stations now they are starting to come in.

I just edited (overwrote) my A band (25Mhz) to make it the UK 40 . Can you delete/create bands ? I didn't see that option .

It's 2 years since I had mine hooked up to my PC, but I do remember that I just left all the bands "active" and edited the frequencies, one by one, to my desired numbers. I also programmed in the Roger Beep and the NB etc, where appropriate, plus of course I programmed in my Memory channels etc.
Doing all of this, one by one, takes AGES, but hey ho.

By the way, tip = Pick a band, I used the highest one ("J" iirc) and program it to have a good selection of the centre frequencies for EACH band, and then, in use, hit the 10kc changing function, then use the tuning knob as a VFO ;) You just have to remember that wherever you finished up, that will be where that band & channel will be when you next go to it, but that is no big deal because it is only a starting point for VFO type use.

Cheers for that. Yeah. I need to play about with the software a bit more.
