Re: no one reply's
I seem to have stumbled-into this post... (the way one does when turning-on their radio), I'm new here. I've watched the technologies of various forms of communications change in the past half-century, which includes the boom and bust of the 11m band in America, and the rivaling digital modes as well. And the nature of people in such changes seems to be the same; it's funny how amateur radio operators had a tug-of-war going in the early fifties over amplitude modulation and single-sideband, a handful of years before I was even born. Those of us who came to find a means of communications through technology are more apt to do so in perpetuity (because as technology changes, we always discover new ways to improve communications). Social media is only new as a term, ham radio predates the inernet by at least seventy-five or more years. I've met a lot of intelligent, kind, interesting people on amateur radio, including my wife. The internet is yet another channel we can use. Yeah, I've got a life too, and all sorts of things to do... I didn't mean to meander the conversation, just throw-in my two-bits worth (two-cents with inflation is about two-bits now). 73s, Dave

I just hope the guy is OK. Far more important things in life than a radio forum.
Does anyone know his amateur callsign?
If so might be able to find some contact details on his QRZ page.
