PMR446 Holme moss recording

Post by dc260 »

I made a SDR recording of the PMR 8 sunday net last sunday, hearing stations 30+ miles away one of which was on Holme Moss near the transmitting station.

Interesting how they're nearly on 446.2MHz exactly - so are people using the standard frequencies (that's 19375) or the more sensible ones without the offset from normal spacing?

This is a fault in the SDR that I was using at the time being slightly off frequency, I can confirm they were in fact on the correct spacing on 446.19375 (Channel 16).

Sirio CX-440, a small antenna but performs exceptionally well on 446.
