Who killed Hubnet?
I've got around 60 repeaters programmed into my radio and listen to it every day. It has always been busy. Suddenly for the past two days nothing. Not a peep apart from an occasional repeater broadcasting it's ID. My radio is fine and I've got more than one so it's not a case of the radio going bad. It's silence on all fronts. What happened?

Proof that no-one is bothering to talk these days and so the project
failed.
Says a lot really about this hobby.
Maybe it's a good thing.
People now realize how facile conversation has become these days.

Re: Who killed Hubnet?
I hear there was a bit of a to do with various repeater keepers and protocol developers fighting over who's digital mode is better..
even to the point one repeater keeper of a digital repeater was asking for people to jam and abuse hubnet users..!!
i kid you not..
no wonder digital fails when those in charge can't get along and cause grief for others to the point Brandmeister revokes licences and they team up to set up a new network and fall out over who's going to be top dog..
pussies..!!

Re: Who killed Hubnet?
Having heard the end result of hubnet being linked to some semi local analogue repeaters to my ears the different modes of digital radio are just varying degrees of sh1te audio coupled to the single topic of conversation, digital amateur radio.
my friend grafter, seems like you are using a very offensive tone in the reply.

Re: Who killed Hubnet?
and 5/9 reports and comments of 'it's sounds like your in the room with me' (sounding like a dalek)
and the majority seem to be M3's M6's and people who think Amateur Radio means using the Internet..!!
