Well Nick is unable to help on this one, sadly. Radioworld have also said they wouldnt do it in house but instead have pushed me towards Icom UK to do the work... so I may need to sell the radio once returned to pay for the mod! Haha.

What about The Shack or Dave Woods. Both on Faceache. Seemingly good reports for both camps.
If it's just the 60m mod i found this on Mods.dk.

For use TX in 60m Band remove D1515 on the Main-Unit

Paul.

How much generally do these places charge per hour labour wise ?would imagine with the cost of carriage both ways and the labour charge on top it might prove a very expensive mod ?

Thats what I was thinking matie. I have uet to hear back from any more of the big retailers Incontacted, so will try Icom direct next and see what they say

If its stupid money, I’ll just use the 991, I only use that for vhf/uhf currently, but the previous op did use it on 60m

Just means a re-think of my shack and antenna usage :-/

Thanks for that matie, really appreciated.

I have since decided to leave the radio un-fettled as 60m not a priority at the moment 8)
