How about thanking mikel from your previous thread first ? You seem to have developed a habit of posting threads then not replying to them,

I bet it's described somewhere in the manual.

Re: crt space power setting ?
Someone programmed that channel to have LO by default. Use PC programming software to change that.

Re: crt space power setting ?
According to the manual H is the default setting.
Was it a new radio ? maybe a factory reset and start again.

Re: crt space power setting ?
Yes that is the dealer! He has probably set the radio at low power intentionally, so that they are less likely to go back to him faulty. He is cheap, but does not have a good reputation for after sales support.
No.20 function menu is reset, If you reset you will lose the channels
The programming software is available to download:
https://simonthewizard.com/2018/11/16/m ... space-u-v/
You will need a programming cable.
I haven’t read the whole manual but you should be able to set the memory channels without the programming software?
You should have stuck with your Yaesu 897

Re: crt space power setting ?
Stumbled across this thread funnily enough after reading about the Cornwall dealer on another thread.
Anyway, one thing led to another and the fact my CRT space U resets to medium power.
I don't use it often but did notice last week when a long distance contact mentioned my signal and audio had suddenly dropped. (Think changing channels).
This was purchased new and programmed for PMR from a different very reputable dealer.
(And I'm not inferring anything regarding reputation of the Cornwall dealer here)
But wonder whether the CRT space U may incur heat damage on constant full power so this setting is made as a precaution. ?
I might fire it up today/tonight and see what's going on.
I too did a Google search but unlike was mentioned, the only thing that came up was this thread
If programming is the only option then I might leave as is. Bit of a faff but hey ho.
I haven't a lead (unless the Baofeng one will work ???.
Although I wouldn't mind reprogramming it to open it up.
